This is an extremely easy diaper to make. You can easily make a dozen in a few hours.  I made a dozen of these in newborn size.  I used birdseye on the outside and stretch terry on the inside.

I got this template from a combination of a disposable and a Snuggle-up diaper (I think that’s what it’s called).
Mark on your fabric where you want your elastic. This diaper
only has elastic in the legs.
Cut out your pad. I used 3 layers of stretch terry. The pad
extends the entire length of the diaper.  Sew it onto one layer
of the diaper, on the inside. Sew a zig zag down both sides of
the pad.
Next, sew the elastic onto the legs. Sew it on the same side as
the pad.
Serge the two diaper layers together with the pad and elastic
between the two layers. Be sure to catch in the ends of your
pad…remember the pad extends all the way to the front and
back of the diaper.
Sew a strip of loop Velcro to the front of the diaper through all
the layers.  Sew a piece of hook Velcro onto each wing. Sew
some loop Velcro for fold back tabs if you wish.
And your done! Simple and Easy!!
